  • The Preliminary Exam is objective type (MCQ) and consists of a single paper of 120 questions for 150 marks.
  • Part A: General Studies – 30 questions (60 marks)
  • Part B: Concerned Subject – 90 questions (90 marks)
  • Duration: 2 Hours (120 minutes)
  • Each question carries 1.25 marks. There is negative marking of 1/3rd marks for wrong answers.
  • The Prelims is only a screening test. Marks will not be counted in the final merit. Qualified candidates will appear in the Main (Written) Examination followed by Interview.
