Short Information :     Indian Navy has released the official notification for 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme (Permanent Commission) for the course commencing in January 2027. Applications are invited from unmarried men and women candidates for becoming Permanent Commissioned Officers in Technical branches after undergoing a four-year B.Tech course at the prestigious Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala. A total of 60 vacancies have been announced across Mechanical Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering branches.

Mechanical Engineering 30 Passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or equivalent with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII). Candidates must have appeared for JEE (Main) – 2026 exam (for B.E/B.Tech). Preference of branch (Mechanical or Electronics & Communication Engineering) to be given during online application. Note: Based on merit and qualification during training at INA, 07 candidates will be streamed to B.Tech in Naval Architecture & Shipbuilding at NCW, Kochi.

Selection Process-Indian Navy 10+2 B.Tech Entry 2026

  • Naval Headquarters reserves the right to fix the cut off for shortlisting of applications for SSB based on JEE (Main) All India Common Rank List (CRL) – 2026. All candidates are required to fill their Rank as per Common Rank List (CRL) in the application. SSB interviews for shortlisted candidates will be scheduled at Bengaluru/ Bhopal/ Kolkata/Visakhapatnam from Sep 2026 onwards.
  •  Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB interview through e-mail and SMS (provided by candidates in their application form). Candidates are advised not to change their e-mail/ mobile number till selection process is over.
  •  Change of SSB Centre for examination/ interview is not permissible under any circumstances.
  •  Candidates are to download the call up letter on receiving intimation from Naval Headquarters via SMS/e-mail (provided by candidate in their application). Any correspondence regarding change of SSB dates should be addressed to the call up officer of the concerned SSB on receipt of call up letter.
  •  No compensation is admissible in case of any injury sustained as a result of tests during SSB interviews.

  •  AC 3 tier rail fare is admissible for the SSB interview, if appearing for the first time for particular type of commission. Candidates are required to bring photocopy of the first page of pass book or cheque leaf where the name, A/C No. & IFSC details are mentioned, while appearing for SSB.
  •  Details of SSB procedure are available on the Indian Navy website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.
  • Common Merit list. Merit list would be prepared based on SSB marks and medical fitness. Candidates would be appointed subject to Police Verification and Character Verification & availability of vacancies in the entry.

  • Only one application is to be filled by a candidate. Multiple applications will lead to cancellation of candidature.
  • Vacancies indicated are tentative and may change depending on service requirements.
  • Candidates must upload correct JEE (Main) 2026 CRL Rank in the application.
  • Only unmarried candidates are eligible. Marriage during training will lead to discharge and refund of full training cost.
  • All candidates recommended by SSB will undergo medical examination applicable to 10+2 (B Tech) entry. No relaxation in medical standards on any grounds. Change of medical hospital is not allowed.
  • Candidates who have already been declared medically fit for NDA/NA Jan 2027 need not undergo repeat medical examination.
  • Use or possession of narcotics is strictly banned. Candidates may be tested for drugs during SSB, medicals, training or service.
  • Application once submitted is final. No request for amendments will be entertained.
  • Candidature can be cancelled at any stage if found ineligible or invalid.

How to Apply Indian Navy 10+2 B.Tech Entry 2026

  1. Visit the official recruitment website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in
  2. Register and create a user profile using valid email ID and mobile number.
  3. Fill the online application form with correct personal particulars as per Matriculation and 12th class certificates.
  4. Enter JEE (Main) 2026 Common Rank List (CRL) Rank accurately.
  5. Upload scanned copies of all relevant documents in original JPG/TIFF format including Date of Birth proof, 10th marksheet, 12th marksheet, JEE (Main) 2026 Scorecard and recent passport size colour photograph.
  6. Submit the application form and take a printout for future reference.
  7. Candidates must carry the printout along with original certificates while appearing for SSB interview.
